About:
Two upcycled vintage chairs stitched together with a hand dyed cotton cord and a solid walnut for a seat.
Discarded chairs left on the street or at the junkyard can look so lonely!
A chair frame on the railroad tracks or even a forgotten seatless chair in the antique shop can sometimes brake your heart. So why not match and stitch them together so they can never be lonely again?
The “Thonet No.14 replica” was found on the street on a rainy day and his rattan “partner” was facing the wall at a junkshop.
The first one is a bistro chair designed in 1859, the other one is a 1950s Thonet armchair. Separated by almost 100 years of design and connected by a live edge walnut board.
